Aerial & Drone Photography
Aerial photography offers a completely different perspective, revealing the scale, location and surroundings of a property, development or landscape in ways that aren't always possible from the ground.
As an experienced commercial photographer and licensed drone pilot, I approach aerial photography with the same attention to composition, light and detail as any other professional shoot - using the drone as another tool to create strong, purposeful imagery. Every location presents different opportunities, from finding the strongest viewpoint and working with the direction of light to choosing the right time of day and altitude for the shot.
Modern drone technology allows high-quality aerial photography and video to be captured efficiently and cost-effectively. There are situations, however, where operating restrictions, location or the need for greater altitude can make traditional aerial photography from a helicopter the better option. I can advise on the most suitable approach based on your project, location and the imagery required.
I hold a CASA-issued Remote Pilot Licence (RePL).
Aerial and drone photography can be incorporated into a broader commercial shoot or commissioned as a standalone service. Typical projects include property photography, construction and infrastructure, mining and farming, tourism and destination marketing, and aerial imagery for business and promotional use.
For clients commissioning both ground and aerial photography, drone coverage can be planned as part of the overall shoot, creating a consistent collection of imagery across the entire project. Drone video is also available, from individual aerial clips to footage captured as part of an integrated photography and video project.
Based in Cairns, I provide aerial and drone photography and videography throughout North Queensland, including Port Douglas and the Atherton Tablelands.
