Great Barrier Reef Tourism

Of all the amazing locations we have here in Tropical North Queensland, the Great Barrier Reef is by far my favourite.  And so when Tourism and Events Queensland approached me about a tourism and lifestyle shoot on the GBR, I readily jumped on the opportunity.  The brief called for a series of underwater photography shoots at different locations to highlight some of the wonderful wildlife encounters and diversity of corals and fish-life on offer.  While the focus was a snorkeller’s perspective, the brief also required some scuba diving images.

A fair bit of planning was involved in arranging talent, wardrobe and locations – as well as being nimble enough to carry out the underwater shoots at short notice to take advantage of the best conditions on the reef.  We photographed the snorkelling scenes at Michaelmas Cay and at the Sunlover Pontoon at Moore Reef, while the diving shots were out of Port Douglas at Agincourt Reef.  Here are some of the pics from this memorable assignment on the Great Barrier Reef.
