My Kitchen Rules

Well the popular reality TV series “My Kitchen Rules” was in town recently, filming an instant restaurant at the residence of Cairns couple, David and Corinne – which aired last night. I was commissioned by Seven to do the stills photography for the episode (used for promotion of the show, web, tv guides, that kind of thing). It’s always fascinating to witness the scale of production that goes into making an hour of television and stills photography has got to be one of the most tricky types of photography I do. While the images looks fairly routine, shooting them usually isn’t… low-light, use of a sound blimp (bit like an underwater housing to mute the camera noise) and the need to dodge multiple video cameras whilst still getting the shot, makes it a fun challenge. Anyway, here are some of the images from last night’s show… Keep your fingers crossed David & Corinne survive to cook another day.
