Far North Queensland offers an extraordinary diversity of landscapes, where ancient tropical rainforest meets palm-fringed coastline and coral reefs, while further inland, waterfalls and rolling green tablelands give way to the savannah and outback.
Based in Cairns, I photograph the region from the ground, air and underwater. My landscape photography has taken me from the Daintree Rainforest and the agricultural landscapes of the Atherton Tablelands to the islands and cays of the Great Barrier Reef and the Torres Strait.
Professional landscape photography can play an important role in tourism and destination marketing, publications, government projects, environmental communications and commercial campaigns. The right imagery can help define a destination, communicate a sense of place and give organisations distinctive visual content that reflects the location they're promoting or representing.
COMMISSIONED LANDSCAPE PHOTOGRAPHY
I undertake commissioned landscape photography assignments throughout Far North Queensland, creating imagery tailored to the location and requirements of each project.
Having lived and worked in FNQ for many years, I bring a strong knowledge of the region and extensive experience photographing it. Successful landscape photography often comes down to being in the right place at the right time. Light, weather, tides, seasons and accessibility can all influence how a location is photographed, so I research and plan each assignment around the conditions most likely to produce the best results.
Depending on the project, photography can include expansive panoramic landscapes, aerial imagery from aircraft or drone, and underwater photography where appropriate. Video can also be incorporated to provide additional content for websites, social media and other digital applications.
STOCK PHOTOGRAPHY & IMAGE LICENSING
If you're looking for stock photography of a particular location, landscape or subject, simply get in touch with your requirements. I can search the archive and provide a selection of suitable images for consideration. This can be a practical option where commissioning new photography isn't necessary, or where suitable imagery already exists.
My archive includes a diverse collection of landscape, travel and editorial imagery from throughout Far North Queensland and other parts of Australia.
Images can be licensed directly for a wide range of commercial, marketing and editorial uses. Licensing can be tailored to the intended use, with terms and pricing discussed before supply. If suitable imagery isn't already available, new photography can also be commissioned.
