The Cairns Private Hospital has recently undergone its biggest redevelopment in its 63-year history. I was tasked by ADCO Construction to capture the finished works. The new private wing adds greatly to the hospital’s number of rooms available, all with ensuites, and purpose-built to accommodate patients recovering from general and orthopaedic surgery. It also features dedicated orthopaedic, surgical and rehabilitation units. Of special note is the new maternity unit which includes three dedicated birth suites and a new special care nursery.
