Last week we were at St Michael’s School to photograph some of the students going about their school day. With a backdrop of the iconic peak of Walsh’s Pyramid, the school sits on the outskirts of Cairns in the town of Gordonvale. As with every school marketing shoot that we do, it’s about trying to capture the action of the day in a relaxed and informal style with as little interruption to learning as possible. Having a rough schedule for the day ensures we capture the priority images, but with some flexibility to shoot other scenes, students and teachers in opportunities that present themselves on the day.
