Williams performing the 1080 Front Flip BMX trick at the show in Cairns
Last week’s jobs included an interesting editorial assignment – photographing Ryan Williams of Nitro Circus – for the Weekend Australian Magazine. With a million dollar deal, a bag of death dying stunts in his kit bag and a legion of young followers tuned in, Williams is the most exciting, upcoming daredevil in the traveling stunt show that is the “circus”. We shadowed Ryan for the day, as he hung out with fans at the Cairns skate park, performing tricks and connecting with fans. In the afternoon, it was at Cazalys stadium as he went through rehearsals and his pre-show rituals. And that evening, we were transfixed by the crazy and gravity defying tricks of Williams and all the Nitro Circus performers.
