As a photographer it’s always great to spend time up in Queensland’s remote Torres Strait Islands. There’s something very enticing about the history, culture and landscape of the many islands dotted amongst the Strait’s turquoise waters. And so it was good to be up on Thursday Island recently to photograph a new housing development for the Qld government. The project consisted of 14 one-bedroom units, located on Victoria Parade, on the island’s serene waterfront. Shot during both daylight and twilight, the objective was to capture all the internal and external areas of the development, prior to the end client’s handover.
