Trinity Beach is a quiet coastal village about 15 minutes drive north of Cairns city, and is where Sea Change Beachfront Apartments is located.  We were there early this month for their accommodation photography, as a refresh for their marketing materials and website.  As is always required with these types of shoots, one eye was kept on the weather in the lead up to the shoot date, to ensure the property was shot in the best light.  Generally we’re pretty flexible about things, and are able to reschedule a shoot, should the weather look less than ideal.

Anyway, over the course of a day we were able to shoot the interiors for two apartments and pool area during daylight, as well as some additional shots of the pool area and foyer/reception at twilight.  Although a full day may seem like a lot for two apartments, to balance the interior and exterior lighting for large apartment, with a number of indoor & outdoors areas, requires a good degree of skill with professional, studio lighting.  Rooms are generally shot from a number of different angles also, to give the client a good selection of images.

As is the case during the shoot, any eye for detail during the post-production stage is an essential element in producing high-quality imagery – showcasing the interiors and exteriors to their best effect.
