Heart Reef is one of those iconic locations of North Queensland, that seems almost unreal unless you’ve seen it with your own eyes. Truth is, flying over the Great Barrier Reef in the Whitsundays, you’d miss it if wasn’t pointed out to you amongst the many coral formations. Small it may be, but magical none-the-less. Anyway, I had the opportunity to do some aerial photography of Airlie Beach, perfect little Heart Reef, the aquamarine-hued sands of Hill Point on Whitsunday Island and finally land on the region’s most famous of beaches… Whitehaven. Was a fun day’s work.
